Festival Gold; Disney Gold and Silver for JIFH teams
Jersey Intensity U19 Black Repeats Festival Gold!
The U19 Jersey Intensity Black Team repeats as National Pool Champions with a perfect 6-0 record for a second year in a row. The team performed flawlessly without yielding a goal (for the second year in a row) over the three days. With the win, Jersey Intensity is guaranteed a U19 spot at the 2011 festival to be held again in Phoenix, Arizona. The U16 team also went undefeated, but wound up ending 2nd in their pool due to points despite beating the 1st place team. All four teams played hard and showcased their team and individual skills exceptionally well in front of the many college coaches in attendance!
Jersey Intensity Wins Disney Gold and Silver 2011!
The U19 Jersey Intensity Black Team repeats as 2011 Disney Gold Medalists, finishing 1st out of a field of 78 teams. The JI Black team performed flawlessly for a second year in a row going 9-0 and conceding only two goals all tournament. In a repeat of the 2010 finals, Jersey Intensity faced a talented WC Eagles squad and came out on top with a dominating 5-0 performance. Jersey Intensity has once again secured a guaranteed spot in the 2012 showcase.
Our U16 team played great team hockey as well, ending the tournament with an 8-1 record. It was again a WC Eagles-Jersey Intensity final. WC Eagles were however able to score in the second half thus giving Jersey Intensity the Silver Medal (out of a field of 64 teams!). The U16 team played great matches against tough competitors from Canada, PA, MD, NJ and PA and only conceded goals all weekend in the JI-WC Eagles final.
