Kathleen Stefanelli started Jersey Intensity in 2004, since that time the club program has grown to be one of the most elite programs in the nation. Before JI, Stefanelli served as the Assistant coach at Monmouth University from 1998 – 2002. As a player, Stefanelli enjoyed a successful playing career at Princeton University. A four-year starter for the Tigers, Stefanelli earned first-team All Ivy league honors as a sophomore, junior and senior and regional All-America status all four years. During her senior season, she earned National All-America honors and captained the Tigers to an NCAA Final Four appearance.
As a junior, Stefanelli led Princeton to the NCAA championship game and earned first team regional All-America honors. As a sophomore, she earned third-team National All-America honors. Stefanelli, a three-time Academic All-Ivy and Academic All-American honoree, graduated with a psychology degree in 1998.
During Stefanelli’s junior season, she was selected to the United States U-21 National Team.
At Shore Regional High School, Stefanelli was a two time All-State player and received All-American status her senior year. She captained Shore Regional to state crowns her junior and senior years. Stefanelli, a member of the Shore Regional Athletic Hall of Fame, was also selected to the Newark Star Ledger 1990′s NJ Field Hockey Team of the Decade.

Lexi is an alumni of the Jersey Intensity Field Hockey Club. While at Florence High School, she broke the high school national scoring record in 2012, with 191 career goals. In her collegiate career at The College of New Jersey, Lexi was a member of the 2014 National Championship team, where she earned All-Tournament honors. Lexi was also a member of TCNJ’s 2015 Final Four team.
In her final two seasons at TCNJ, Lexi twice earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Year. She also was a two-time First Team All-American, as well as two-time South Atlantic Regional Player of the Year. Lexi was twice nominated for Division III Player of the Year.
Lexi is currently pursuing her law degree at Rutgers School of Law.
Richard started playing field hockey in 1981 and from that point he knew the sport was for him. He played for two clubs in England, Folkestone Optimists HC and St Albans HC. While playing at St Albans Richard represented Hertfordshire, winning the National County Championship. He also started coaching, running training sessions for St Albans and other local clubs.
In 1998 Richard was invited to coach at the Intercollegiate Field Hockey Camps held at TCNJ and Rider University. He coached these camps until 2006 and during this time he met his wife, Kris. From 2007 - 2012 he coached at the Merestead Field Hockey and Lacrosse camps.
Richard moved to the USA in 2005 and started coaching at Jersey Intensity as well at TCNJ, where he has helped the team win two National Championships.
In 2010 Richard started his own business, Templar Field Hockey Group, and also saw the birth of his two children, Charles and Isabella.
Richard lives in Beachwood and works for the Toms River School District.
