Testimonials

"The first time I put a stick in my hand was at a Jersey Intensity camp when I was ten years old and it was there that I fell in love with the game. After that I begged my parents to sign me up for every camp and clinic that was offered! Kathleen and her coaching staff taught me the game – the skills, tactics and strategy. I believe I never developed bad "hockey" habits because I was taught by the best at such a young age."

"As a goalie, the most important things to learn are the basic skills of goaltending. Upon joining Jersey Intensity four years ago, I learned the way to execute basic skills properly, and since then have been consistently developing new skills with nearly-individualized training opportunities from some of the most helpful and knowledgeable coaches around. The club has provided opportunities for great exposure of my teammates and I to the most prestigious college coaches in the country, and I would certainly not be in the position I am without the help of the Jersey Intensity staff and program."

"When I joined Jersey Intensity in the fall of 07 I was a basketball player first, who also liked field hockey. After playing with Intensity it didn't take too long before field hockey became my favorite sport. I have had a great time playing with this team, meeting lots of new friends, and getting so much great coaching from Kathleen and her coaching staff. I am a much better player because of the practices we have, the indoor tournaments we play in, and the travel we do to tournaments in Disney, Virginia Beach, and California. These events are so much fun because we share rooms, eat out together, and play great competitive field hockey. It is also amazing because now, besides all our parents and friends, we have college scouts looking at us which is really cool. Jersey Intensity also organized a trip to Argentina last year to tour the country, visit an orphanage, and play hockey against their national team, which was something I'll never forget.

I am now getting help from the club with how to contact colleges, which camps to maybe attend, and how to take my game to the next level. I appreciate all that Intensity has done for me, and how they helped me grow to love this game!"

"My daughter, Hannah, began training with Jersey Intensity at the age of 12 and quickly knew it was the sport for her. I attribute this to the positive atmosphere, outstanding training and coaching she receives with JIFHC. Her game improved so dramatically she was named a varsity starter as a 14 year old high school freshman. Now we have opportunities to play field hockey all over the country, and have traveled and played internationally due to her membership with JIFHC.

It is undoubtedly the most profressional youth training that I have seen in any sport my children are involved in. This club creates a positive atmosphere that will teach your child to be a better athlete and person. My daughter never gets tired of playing with Jersey Intensity."

"Our daughter, Marie Mignogna began with Jersey Intensity in 8th grade. She is currently on the U-19 team and entering her senior year at Eastern High School in Voorhees.

We have been extremely pleased with Marie's development as a field hockey player under the direction of the experienced Intensity coaching staff. They have given her the skills and knowledge of the game, which have enabled her to compete at an advanced level. The practice sessions are organized, intense and enthusiastic; The tournaments attended have allowed our daughter to be seen by a number of college coaches. Constant communication from Kathleen Kelly has always kept both parents and athletes informed regarding upcoming events and field hockey news.

Our decision to join was most definately one we will not regret. As Marie is currently being recruited by several Division 1 coaches, we know that Jersey Intensity has played a large part in making her the strong field hockey player that she is today."
Marie Mignogna, Eastern Regional High School 2010

"I joined Jersey Intensity during my sophomore year of high school. That fall, I made my first trip to California for the Hockey Festival. Never before had I seen a recruiting event like Festival; there were so many teams and the number of coaches watching my games was phenomenal for a girl whose goal was to play hockey in college.

Now, three years after my first Festival, and two Festival gold medals later, I’m on my way to play field hockey at the University of Pennsylvania. Kathleen and her coaching staff had a huge role in helping me achieve my hockey and college goals. The Intensity staff increased my skill to a level higher than I could have achieved with High School. Kathleen not only coached field hockey, she also guided us through the recruiting process. She told us the importance of reaching out to college coaches, even if we were only freshmen and sophomores.

Kathleen and her staff were more than just coaches as they led my teammates and I from the level of high school/club players to collegiate athletes."

"It is obvious the Jersey Intensity Club cares about field hockey. And they care about the girls too!"

"Kathleen and JIFH have assembled a unique group of coaches who have the rare combination of being very talented and very nice. It seems simple but I find it unusually hard to find this quality in other teams and sports."
Eric Mead, Father of Kelsey Mead, Wall Township, 2011

"After joining Jersey Intensity in 2007, my skills have significantly improved. Had it not been for the dedication of the Intensity coaches, I would not have been able to continue playing hockey in college. Through their instruction, I have learned so much. Additionally, Jersey Intensity has given me the opportunity to participate in the National Hockey Festival and Disney Showcase. These tournaments were not only beneficial to my future collegiate career, they were extremely fun. The coaches of Jersey Intensity make field hockey continually enjoyable and are committed to improving every athlete. If I was aware of the many Jersey Intensity programs offered when I was younger, I would have participated in all of them! All programs presented to interested athletes are both beneficial and exciting!"
Jessie Bernstein, New Egypt HS, 2009. Attending Montclair University in the fall

"We noticed our daughters' field hockey skills improve two-fold once she began training and playing for the JIFH indoor team. The players received more than enough game time in each tournament. It was great to see the team win at their tournaments. This type of 'intensity' training is excellent for preparing the players to take their game outside. We strongly recommend the JIFH program for the 'serious' field hockey players."

"Not only did Jersey Intensity provide me with excellent opportunities to be exposed to collegiate coaches, but the club also introduced me to different field hockey techniques and styles of play. I was able to meet many athletes outside of my high school who shared goals similar to mine. My most memorable experience as a Jersey Intensity player was my senior season, during which we were undefeated and won a Gold medal at the National Indoor Tournament."
