Players can be evaluated for any or all of the following:

1) Outdoor HS Winter Escape Showcase

2) Outdoor U16/U19 Sunshine Showcase Tournament

3) Turf training with a local 7-aside turf tournament (great for those who aren't selected to a National tournament or for those who can't make commitment to Florida events)

4) U16/U19 "Indoor" club season 

5) All of the above!

WHEN & WHERE ARE U16/U19 WINTER CLUB TRIALS:

Sunday 11/5 - Monmouth University, So Sweet a Cat Field (TURF SHOES or SNEAKERS ONLY, NO CLEATS!!)

Players need to have all their own equipment.

SESSION TIME  (if you are already enrolled in our fall U16/U19 training sessions THERE IS NO TRIAL FEE, simply fill out the registration form so we know which events you want to be evaluated for):

11:45-1:15 (check-in starting at 11:30)

I.  WINTER ESCAPE OUTDOOR SHOWCASE - Jan. 12-14, 2024 (HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY)

The Winter Escape showcase will be held on field turf in Sanford, Florida Jan. 12-14.  This event is held in conjunction with the National Field Hockey Coaches Association convention.  NOTE: this tournament is only open to HS players.  Divisions are "OPEN" so all teams participating will be combinations of U16 & U19 players.

Good Faith Outdoor Tournament Fee Estimates:

• Winter Escape Tournament Fee - last year was $350, final cost dependent on final roster size.
• Training for BOTH the Winter Escape and Sunshine Showcase players will take place on Mondays at Good Sports from 8-9:30 PM on the following dates:  11/27 TBD; 12/4; 12/11; 12/18; 1/8; 1/22
• *Training Fee: $270-$315 (either 5 or 6 sessions)

*If you are selected for both the WE and Sunshine Showcase, this training fee is only paid once.

II. USAFH U16/U19 SUNSHINE SHOWCASE - Jan. 26-28, 2024

The USAFH Sunshine Showcase to be held at Disney's Wide World of Sports will take place from Jan. 26-28th.  This tournament is age dependent, so it is based on your age as of 12/31/2023.  For example, if you are a sophomore who turned or turns 16 BEFORE 12/31/2023 you must try out in the U19 age group.  You must be 15 or younger on 12/31/2023 to be eligible for U16.

• Sunshine Showcase Fee - last year was $425, final costs dependent on final roster size.
• Training for BOTH the Winter Escape and Sunshine Showcase players will take place on Mondays at Good Sports from 8-9:30 PM on the following dates: 11/27 TBD; 12/4; 12/11; 12/18; 1/8; 1/22
• *Training Fee: $270-$315 (either 5 or 6 sessions)

*If you are selected for both the WE and Sunshine Showcase, this training fee is only paid once.

III. U16/U19 Turf Training (will practice inside but will be turf skills) with 7-Aside local tournament(s) in mid-late Jan.  Training takes place on Mondays at Good Sports - (about ~4-7 sessions) with local (NJ) 7-aside indoor TURF tournament in mid-late January.  

• Potential Turf Training Dates at Good Sports: Mondays 8-9:30 PM - 11/27; 12/4; 12/11; 12/18; 1/8; 1/15; 1/22
• Turf Training Fees can range from $180 to $315 (for max of 7 sessions), dependent on final number of sessions. Dates are still being confirmed.

IV. INDOOR SEASON (this does not conflict with either outdoor event)

This is a separate club season where we train indoors at Monroe Sports Center on Sundays and play in tournaments/league (Saturdays) between Dec-Feb months.  

Training will take place on Sundays between 2:30-6 PM (~1hr 50min) at the Monroe Sports Center.

-Select U16s/U19s will participate in a league as well as USAFH qualifiers for the National Indoor Tournament.  Not everyone will be selected for a NIT qualifying team.

-Additional players will be selected for training and local scrimmages/tournaments.  If you are a 10th grader who technically has to play U19 (due to turning 16 before Dec. 31, 2023) but wish to train with other 10th graders, we can accommodate that for the local scrimmages/tournaments. • U16/U19 Indoor Training Dates at Monroe Sports Center:   12/3; 12/9 (Sat.); 12/17; 1/7; 1/21*; 2/4; 2/11 (time TBD) *dependent on tournament assignment
• Indoor Training Fees: ~$350-$370 Training Fee based on (max of 7 sessions)
• Indoor Tournament Fees: Paid per tournament, can range from ~$50-$115 depending on final roster size and level of tournament (USAFH tournaments are more).
• National Indoor Tournament - should the team qualify is a separate fee ~$300-$350, depending on final roster size and expenses

Possible Indoor tournament dates (you would NOT be assigned to all of these).  Listed below are possible dates, more will be added for local scrimmages with another NJ club:

• 12/10 - U16/U19 Mt. Olive, NJ (League play)
• 12/16 - U16/U19 Mt. Olive, NJ (League play)
• 1/6 - U16/U19 Mt. Olive, NJ (League play)
• 1/20 - U16, PA - NIT Qualifier
• 1/21 - U19, PA  - NIT Qualifier
• 1/21 - U16/U19 Mt. Olive, NJ
• 2/3 - U16/U19 tentative Mt. Olive, NJ
• 2/10 - U16/U19 Mt. Olive, NJ (League play)
• 2/17 or 2/18 Tournament, Philly area

**The following National events are dependent on qualifying.  Please note, not everyone will be selected for a USAFH NIT qualifying team.

• U19 National Indoor Tournament - Richmond, VA Feb. 23-25
• U16 National Indoor Tournament - Lancaster, PA March 1-3
