U16/U19 WINTER EVENTS

Players can be evaluated for the Outdoor HS Winter Escape Showcase, the Outdoor U16/U19 Disney Tournament, the U16/U19 Indoor season or all three!

WHEN/WHERE:

Sunday 11/6 - Monmouth University, So Sweet a Cat Field (TURF SHOES or SNEAKERS ONLY, NO CLEATS!!)

Players need to have all their own equipment.

SESSION TIME:

U16: 11:15-1:15 (check-in starting at 11:00); U19: 1-3 PM (check-in at 12:45)

I.  WINTER ESCAPE OUTDOOR SHOWCASE - Jan. 14-16 (HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY)

The Winter Escape showcase will be held on field turf in Sanford, Florida Jan. 14-16.  This event is held in conjunction with the National Field Hockey Coaches Association convention.  NOTE: this tournament is only open to HS players.  Divisions are "OPEN" so all teams participating will be combinations of U16 & U19 players.

Good Faith Outdoor Tournament Fee Estimates:

Winter Escape Tournament Fee - last year was $350, final cost dependent on final roster size.

II. USAFH U16 & U19 SUNSHINE SHOWCASE - Jan. 27-29

The USAFH Sunshine Showcase to be held at Disney's Wide World of Sports will take place from Jan. 27-29th.  This tournament is age dependent, so it is based on your age as of 12/31/2022.  For example, if you are a sophomore who turned or turns 16 BEFORE 12/31/2022 you must try out in the U19 age group.  You must be 15 or younger on 12/31/2022 to be eligible for U16.

Good Faith Outdoor Tournament Fee Estimates:

Sunshine Showcase Fee - last year was $425, final costs depending on final roster size.

III. INDOOR SEASON (this does not conflict with either outdoor event)

This is a separate club season where we train indoors at Monroe Sports Center on Sundays and play in tournaments (Saturdays) between Dec-Feb months.  

Training will take place on Sundays between 2:45-6 at the Monroe Sports Center.

-Select U19s will participate in prep tournaments as well as USAFH qualifiers for the National Indoor Tournament.  Not everyone will be selected for a NIT qualifying team.

-Additional players will be selected for training and local scrimmages/tournaments.  

U16/U19 Indoor Training Dates at Monroe Sports Center:

12/4; 12/11; *12/18; *1/8; 1/22; 2/5; 2/18

*dependent on tournament assignment

-Indoor Training Fees: ~$300 Training Fee based on 6 sessions

-Indoor Tournament Fees: Paid per tournament, can range from ~$50-$115 depending on final roster size and level of tournament (USAFH tournaments are more).

-National Indoor Tournament - should the team qualify is a separate fee ~$300, depending on final roster size and expenses

Possible Indoor tournament dates (you would NOT be assigned to all of these).  Many dates are tentative as it is dependent on what location we are assigned to.  Listed below are all possible dates:

12/10 - U16/U19 NJ

12/17 - *U19 PA (tentative) 

12/18 - **U19 PA (tentative) 

1/7 - U16/U19 NJ or PA (tentative)

1/8 - **U19 PA (tentative)

1/21 - **U16 MD (tentative) or NJ; U19 NJ

1/22 - **U16 PA (tentative), **U19 MD (tentative)

2/11 - U16/U19 NJ

2/12 - U16/U19 NJ

2/19 - U16/U19 NJ

**Dependent on qualifying

U19 National Indoor Tournament - Richmond, VA Feb. 24-26

U16 National Indoor Tournament - Lancaster, PA March 3-5
