2024-2025 U16/U19 WINTER CLUB INFORMATION/TRIALS SUNDAY NOV. 3RD

Players can be evaluated for any or all of the following:

1) Outdoor HS Winter Escape Showcase

2) Outdoor U16/U19 Sunshine Showcase Tournament

3) Turf training (great for those who aren't selected to a National tournament or for those who can't make commitment to Florida events)

4) U16/U19 "Indoor" club season 

5) All of the above!

WHEN & WHERE ARE U16/U19 WINTER CLUB TRIALS:

Sunday 11/3 - Monmouth University, So Sweet a Cat Field (TURF SHOES or SNEAKERS ONLY, NO CLEATS!!)

Players need to have all their own equipment.

SESSION TIME  (if you are already enrolled in our fall U16/U19 training sessions THERE IS NO TRIAL FEE, simply fill out the registration form so we know which events you want to be evaluated for):

11:45-1:45 (check-in starting at 11:30)

I.  WINTER ESCAPE OUTDOOR SHOWCASE - Jan. 17-19, 2025 (HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY)

The Winter Escape showcase will be held on field turf in Sanford, Florida Jan. 17-19.  This event is held in conjunction with the National Field Hockey Coaches Association convention.  NOTE: this tournament is only open to HS players.  Divisions are "OPEN" so all teams participating will be combinations of U16 & U19 players.

Good Faith Outdoor Tournament Fee Estimates:

• Winter Escape Tournament Fee - last year was $450, final cost dependent on final roster size.
• Training for BOTH the Winter Escape and Sunshine Showcase players will take place on Mondays and/or Tuesdays at Good Sports from 8-9:30 PM on the following dates:  
  • U16: 12/2, 12/10, 12/16, 1/6, 1/14, 1/20, 1/27
  • U19: 12/2, 12/3, 12/9, 12/17, 1/6, 1/7, 1/13, 1/21, 1/28
• *Training Fee: $315-$375 (approximate and depending on final team training sessions)

*If you are selected for both the WE and Sunshine Showcase, this training fee is only paid once.

II. USAFH U16/U19 SUNSHINE SHOWCASE - Jan. 24-26, 2025

The USAFH Sunshine Showcase to be held at Disney's Wide World of Sports will take place from Jan. 24-26th.  This tournament is age dependent, so it is based on your age as of 8/1/2024.  For example, you must be 15 or younger on 8/1/2024 to be eligible for U16.  You must be 18 or younger on 8/1/2024 to be eligible for U19.

Good Faith Outdoor Tournament Fee Estimates:

• Sunshine Showcase Fee - last year was $475, final costs dependent on final roster size.
• Training for BOTH the Winter Escape and Sunshine Showcase players will take place on Mondays and/or Tuesdays at Good Sports from 8-9:30 PM on the following dates:  
  • U16: 12/2, 12/10, 12/16, 1/6, 1/14, 1/20, 1/27
  • U19: 12/2, 12/3, 12/9, 12/17, 1/6, 1/7, 1/13, 1/21, 1/28
• *Training Fee: $315-$375 (approximate and depending on final team training sessions)

*If you are selected for both the WE and Sunshine Showcase, this training fee is only paid once.

III. U16/U19 TURF TRAINING - Turf training (great for those who aren't selected to a National tournament or for those who can't make commitment to Florida events). 

IV. INDOOR SEASON (this does not conflict with either outdoor event)

This is a separate club season where we train indoors at Monroe Sports Center on Sundays and play in tournaments/league (Saturdays) between Dec-Jan months.  

Training will take place on Sundays at the Monroe Sports Center. Feb. schedule TBD but will mainly be scrimmage/competition dates.

-Select U16s/U19s will participate in tournaments as well as USAFH qualifiers for the National Indoor Tournament.  Not everyone will be selected for a NIT qualifying team.

-Additional players will be selected for training and local scrimmages/tournaments.  

• U16/U19 Indoor Training Dates at Monroe Sports Center:   12/8; 12/11 (Wed.); 12/15; 12/18 (Wed); 12/22; 12/29; 1/5; 1/12; 1/19
• Indoor Training Fees:  $420-$540 Training Fee dependent on final training schedule (between 7-9 sessions)
• Indoor Tournament Fees: Paid per tournament, can range from ~$50-$115 depending on final roster size and level of tournament (USAFH tournaments are more).
• National Indoor Tournament - should the team qualify is a separate fee ~$300-$350, depending on final roster size and expenses

**The following National events are dependent on qualifying.  Please note, not everyone will be selected for a USAFH NIT qualifying team.

• U19 National Indoor Tournament - Richmond, VA Feb. 21-23
• U16 National Indoor Tournament - Lancaster, PA Feb 28-Mar 2
